To all my fitness enthusiast friends
A few weeks without going to the gym, studio or your favorite workout session will not hamper your goals in the long run. Remember, fitness is not a short vacation, it’s a long journey that requires immense commitment. During my time in the fitness industry, I’ve come across people who work out for months, years and decades to get where they are. And even then, continuously strive to improve.
At a time like this, when you may not have access to gyms or participate in group sessions, I recommend utilizing this time to work on the other aspects of your fitness.
1. Perfect a move: Did the thought that you couldn’t perfect a squat bother you? Take this time to focus on correcting your posture.
2. Learn a new move: Always wondered if you could do the handstand? Now is the time to stop wondering and actually learning it!
3. Improve your physical qualities and training methods: Increase training frequency, focus on plyometrics and isometrics, train outdoors, roll, jump, play, box and so much more. I think the options are only limited by your creativity.
4. Focus on your family: Encourage and help your family get fitter and healthier. Spend more time with your parents and children, and motivate them to achieve greater heights.
